This is only a guess here. Sounds like the internal thermal cut off switch in the motor is shutting it off until it's cool enough to start again. Or could be a problem with the start/run capacitor.

 

So I need to have the pump pulled either way?

In the well. 200 feet down.

 

Then yes, gonna need to pull it and have it bench tested. I hate well pumps. My parents had one when they lived there. It broke a few times and was always a pain in the ass. I didn't fux with it as it was the landlord's responsibility to fix it.
