    Mrs Gritto says some gals on her neighborhood Fakebook group have commented on hearing gunfire.
    Hey, how else am I gonna get them?
    Okay okay, I'll get a pellet gun.

    Mind you, I'm perfectly happy when they go into my live trap, which sees continuous usage over the warm months.
    But I still gotta plug 'em one way or the other.

    So I got this at Tractor Supply today

    The first couple times I shot it I'm like WTF?
    That's almost as loud as my Marlin 39A .22 rifle.
    Crack goes the sound barrier! :eek:

    But it quieted down after that, like the reviews said it would.
    Sounds more like a staple gun now, so evidently the muzzle device works.
    What's yet to be seen is if it has enough juice to kill a groundhog.
    People say it does.
    The scope ain't great but it does adjust and seems adequate.

    It rained all afternoon, so I haven't tried shooting groups...
    ... though I got it on paper (pizza box actually), at 25 yds in the back yard, then quit..

    Anybody else here use a pellet gun for varmint control?

    Best pellets to use?
