    A good friend got a reporter job at the Reckless Herald (Record Herald) in Grittoville many years ago.
    He was fresh outta college, and desperate for a job. (Liberal Arts degree, heh) :rolleyes:

    Reporters back then used to take their jobs rather seriously, and competition between newspapers was often, hmmm... acrimonious.
    Hence the unflattering nicknames that reporters used for competitors.

    I confess it's hard for me to take a lot of the news seriously these days.
