    Reading this takes me way back to the early 60s and the family farm on the Laurel Highlands Plateau...
    Maybe my memory deceives me, but those were very snowy years.

    What I remember:

    Snow fencing and snow drifts taller than me.
    Riding the tractor after a snow fall to get out the farm lane and catch the school bus.
    School buses with chains on the tires.
    Snow days? No such thing :notsure:
