Were higher ground and our street hasn't flooded but tornadoes definitely are a concern. We did have that one touch down 10 miles from me this year that went 4 miles on the ground. No dangerous earthquakes by me but we did have a minor one a few years ago.

 

That's a bit of an exaggeration

But seriously, my Dad could look at the clouds and gauge the wind and tell you the weather 2 days out.
The vast majority of the time, he'd be right.


People used to be able to do that.
I have an idea most farmers still can.
It comes from lore handed down and from lifelong observation of the weather... which is important for farmers.

Yeah it's stuff the previous generations knew. Now we have weatherman that cant get anything right

 

what confuses me.. why they waited for the family to ride along with demar. i spent ten years driving an ambulance as a medic... GTFO my away we are going the the hospital..

 

Especially since they say he’s in critical condition! It should have been doors shut and hammer down!

 

A little over a year ago when my dad fell and went into cardiac arrest mom did CPR for 8 minutes before paramedics arrived. They shocked him 4 times before they reached the hospital. They barely got him stable enough to make the life flight to the other hospital. Before they took him they made sure we were given the chance to give him hugs and possibly say goodbye as it could have been the last ones. As soon as we were done he was rushed out to the helicopter which we watched take off.

Being in a similar position to me it was nice they let her go with. It could be the last time she sees her son alive. If dad did pass and I didn't get to say goodbye I would have wished I got that chance.

Good news, I think. His vitals are normal again, but they have to put him to sleep to get the breathing tube down his throat.
