My kid (son) just officially got his driver's license yesterday, I called to add him to the auto insurance policy... the annual premium increased from $1,900 to $3,500 over night.

I just now asked Mrs Gritto and she says our auto insurance is $750/year.

This is why, I figure:

1) Erie Insurance... we also have our Homeowner's insurance with them.
They're very competitive, but choosy about who they offer policies to.
2) No Comprehensive, high deductible.
3) Older vehicles: 2005 Highlander and 2006 Tacoma... barely broken in
We like 'em and see no reason to change.
4) We live out in the Sticks (don't underestimate the importance of this one).

The name changes throw me off constantly! Sometimes I forget @Da Boogie Man is sweet t and is not the same person as @Red Mud Ray even though I don't think his name has ever changed .

Which is why even though I wanted to change my name, I havent cause I don't want to be confusing.

I think @Chunk is the worst offender.
He's been Schwartz, McRib, now Chunk.
I half expect him to change back when McDonald's does their periodic return of the McRib .

I think he got disgusted with me busting his balls about not actually being very sweet
