They are big but super sweet! No one believes me when I tell them he is sweet. I’m more afraid of the little yapper dogs, those fuckers bite! Well, the ones I have come across, I’m sure there are some sweet one like @HoboDave
My neighbor always brought her dog to shit in my yard…. My dog rolled in it:angrygirl: I finally had to ask her to quit bringing her dog to my yard! We always scoop ours up and carry bags in public. Can’t believe that some people just don’t!

I wouldn’t call my little yapper sweet. She hates everyone except me. So far, she only yaps. She’s never bitten anyone. I don’t think she ever will. My 6 year old great-nephew is her least favorite little people. He gives her every reason to bite him. I want to bite him myself sometimes. :D

❤️ That's cool he was able to do that from vacation. We totally missed it so no spoilers!

There are several little dogs in my area + they scare me b/c they bite. The one that lives behind me seems super vicious; every time I pass it walking, the owner scoops it up and holds the little shrieking ball of terror.. It's like their owners didn't bother to actually train them b/c they can just out muscle them. I agree that there are some good little dogs, just doesn't seem to be the norm.

Big dogs are usually just a visual deterrent - look scary but sweet AF

I scoop 90% of it but I don't scoop his poop when we are out running/walking :anonymous:
Mostly b/c it is rare that he goes somewhere else. I think that one pile every 6 months is not that bad - IF I took him somewhere else, with more people/pets, then I would clean it up.
Where I work, lots of people bring their dogs to walk in a nearby park and don't clean up, it is super gross - I totally understand that sentiment.

We mostly stay close to home when running him…. It’s just easier, but not because of him. He listens well and just wants to be by us. With that being said, he will gladly accept doggy pats from anyone who wants to give them. We get asked a lot when we have him if he can be approached and pet. I appreciate being asked first. It’s like people have never seen a dob before:rolleyes:
He totally changed after Maxx….. he definitely knew we are struggling and stays very close to us….. I couldn’t have made it thru those several months I was off work without him. As much as I didn’t want another dog, that alone changed my feelings about having him❤️❤️❤️

I can only imagine what you went thru/are dealing with. Big baby dogs are the best emotional support animals - they can always turn that frown upside down; they also know when to stop and just be by you and chill..

I hate being dog/less - I keep thinking about getting a 2nd one, but I need to fence part of my yard first so it is gonna be a bit.
I just don't want to go thru not having a dog again - I was miserable.

Aus has 2, he keeps telling us to get a second one to keep Dozer company. I’m not sold on that. I’m sure it’d be great for him just not anyone else who helps with him while we are at work.

I had 2 long before - mostly b/c dog #1 was pissed we kept leaving to go to work..
It was fine; not really extra work just extra food/vet $$. They kept each other entertained - I also had a fenced yard so they could run and get whatever out of their system.

There was some overlap between my prior dog [Snoops] and 1 of the 2 - so I wasn't dogless till a few years back when I had to put Snoops down due to age. Then I was totally miserable - it sucks loosing a dog, but it sucks even more when there is no dog at home to cheer you up.
I don't wanna do that again so maybe next year when things are a bit more settled, I can work on that.
