    You live, what, a couple miles (as the crow flies) from High Rock?
    Though considerably more by road...


    On a hazy day, one can see Tuscarora the best part of 40 miles away.
    That's what looks like a line of cloud on the horizon... no it's a mountain ridge.

    On a clear day you can see a lot further north and south along the Cumberland Valley.

    BTW, the Appalachian Trail runs past High Rock, a literal stone's throw away below the cliffs.

    You should go sometime in October during the migration.
    It's a busy flyway for hawks in particular, flying low along the ridge going south.
