A friend went to Maine and brought me these random...

 

What’s considered a trophy for me around here is 2.5 years or older . Preferably high and wide with 8 points at least . Which means it’s slim Pickens around here . There’s a few decent deer killed around here but guys have to let young deer go and let them grow . Repeat of this deer would be nice . So unless the rack is huge it’s 8 points or better for me .

Yeah they dont get that big here, people get buck fever and shoot them young.

 

I forgot to mention that 3 subdivisions are going in on the other side of the hill from where I hunt towards the lake and to the left not 300 yards from one of those stands . It’s not a big piece of land this mountain .Blue dot = my house ,red Xs are 2 of my stands . Blue lines are roads surrounding the hill I hunt . The piece I have permission for is 130 acres .

 

That'll push more deer yer way.

 

Did they cancel that solar farm?

Gonna find out soon . We don’t know yet . NY is fucked up . They let them apply for some Special BS solar permit that our governor created years ago l so it’s up to the state now . So we are probably screwed . As you know right out my front window if it does . I saw a nice buck this morning with my binoculars from my window across the road . He was lip curling ! 2 other small bucks and a doe out there also .

I dont like to look at the same shit twice in a year...except..... I have 3 really good trees that I'll hunt two or three times a year.
