But as you said. Hard work manning one.

Ill need some friends along the ride....

Even with a solid autopilot you would need 3 or 4 ppl on watch shifts to be safe on a long crossing.

The image I have in my head, the moment I will realize I have achieved my goal... is being on watch, in the middle of the Pacific, middle of the night, stars shining bright, sound of the waves.... and just being present in that moment.

    One day Ill be there..

Yeah you motor a bit more with them than in the smaller single mast boats. Got to get out and get some room to get the sails up away from everything.

    Im countin on it.

As silly as it may sound... the reason I hold this goal, is because of the YouTube channel 'Sailing Sv Delos'

Back when i was bed ridden from my injury, left alone by my ex, and having only myself to rely on... I happened upon that channel. It is the entire reason I gained that desire. Gave me hope when I had nothing and noone.

Its silly I know. But In that 3 years of my life I had nothing and noone to be happy about. Those years of solitude came at a price... but watching that channel helped me immensely. And it inspired an unlikely goal for a native Idaho boy. Lol

Good thing is to start small and work your way up. You learn a lot in a smaller boat about how things react. Also easier to not get yourself in trouble as bad.

I’ve found that if you dream too big you’ll never accomplish what you want. Do what you can now to get out there. You’ll find a way as you go to get bigger and better.

I see a few of you all talking about sailing.

My oldest brother has gotten in on a two races down in/around the Caribbean. I think he has sailed out of Antigua. He is going to a huge race in Australia around Christmas.

Hubs has to start work early. I get up and make him coffee every morning since I’ve been off. When he leaves I’ll just start my work out a lil early. I’m usually up by 5:15- 5:30 anyway.
