i got summons for jury duty once..
i was on probation for a misdemeanor weed thingy..
i was the last person selected for the grand jury
they let this other dude go b/c he was on probation but for a felony
they wouldn't let me go and made me answer why i was on probation in front of everyone + the cops + the judge
so i had to go 1/month for a year and got like 24$ each time

i remember a few cases
and i remember how people voted [in general] on certain things

 

Ah ha! That narrows it down. @Gen1TacoLady is the only nonperv I can think of up in here.

 

I never get picked for juries, at least not the 3 times my entire life I've actually made it as far as voir dire.

I once almost got selected for a moidah trial down in socal, twenty years ago, some gangland thing, but as soon as I said "college degree" the defense lawyer booted me

Yeah, I remember that. All that drama to find nothing. Then he’s just like “Well, it looks like this was nothing” Talk about an anti-climax

i tried really hard to make myself look like not a good juror...
the da tried to get me tossed b/c of but the public defender made them look up the rules and apparently probation alone doesn't DQ you, only for a felony so i was stuck..

but it was an interesting experience and i learned that 'we' law abiding citizens are really far more similar than the media presents or whatever..

 

I was summoned twice in my life. It’s easy to get bounced. I just said “I figure the police wouldn’t have arrested him if he wasn’t guilty”
The defense lawyer couldn’t wait to disqualify me

 

Wtf is wrong? No adventurous side??? JUST KIDDING! Don’t answer that…. I think it’s obvious.
