Keep in mind that if you’re considering a handheld light vs one mounted on your gun you’ll be forced to shoot one handed if that situation ever arises.

I have the previous version of this:

    https://www.fenixlighting.com/products/fenix-tk20r-v2-rechargeable-tac-flashlight

    I like it a lot!!!
I usually use the 2nd to lowest when I take my dog out but on the Turbo/max/whatever you can see so much shit!
I went out in the dark ass woods out back and tested it, I was impressed

When I was shopping for one, I kinda picked 100$ as the target price point; I got the one I have on sale or clearance?
It is dark green [like my truck!] and I think the color was some special one off shit so it was cheaper

I don't plan on carrying a flashlight in my house to shoot an intruder
I can move around my house in pitch black and a flashlight just gives away my location

I do keep mine, next to my pistol, on the bedside table tho cause sometimes I get critters on the deck or my dog gets upset over critters in the yard

That’s fine, I guess my point was that, if ever put in a position to defend myself I would rather have the light mounted on my gun. Seems like it would be much more convenient and allow you to shoot more accurately 2 handed. Personally I don’t have a light on my carry gun, one less thing to depend on in a moment of panic.

I don't either and I never intend to
I feel like the flashlight gives up your advantage in your home

While I might be able to temporarily blind someone, they might also just fire off towards the flashlight
And you are 100% correct that it is one more thing that I probably shouldn't be messing with in a moment of panic

Yep. Gonna practice both one handed and 2 handed. 2 handed first of course. But I like having it available for other uses or to have available for other family members.

    generally speaking:
Comes down to Personal preference i guess. Mine dont have a light but i like the Trl 7x it has momentary and steady on.

Shooting with handheld could be problematic but not impossible, and you can also rest your shooting hand on Closed fist while holding a light. again its personal preference. Theres advantages and disadvantages. Use what works for you but get practice whichever you choose.
