I’ve heard good things about the traction, not so good things about weight and balance. I’d be tempted to do the new Nitto Terra Grapplers G3. The Ridge Grapplers are good too, But noisy and heavy from folks. I can deal with short lifespans IF they do what they are supposed to. I used to run BF Goodrich exclusively, but the rubber rots prematurely and I’m not running shoes that rot before I’m done using them. Part of that is WHERE they’re being produced these days…

It’s ok, was supposed to be hot and sunny…. Around 11am… poured down rain… been off and on until about an hour ago. Just bought bags of concrete to pour my fence border that I didn’t finish last year. :annoyed:

I remember the balance issues . It was years ago . Couple bad batches of tires . I have one set on OEM steel rims for winter and another set on American Racing Baja rims for summer . Got 55-60k out of my first set . Excellent traction.

Do not buy a lawnmower from a big box store . They are not the same as the same models at a stand alone mower/tractor dealer.

I had to stick with 42” because I have a gate to pass through… not everyone has those limitations.
We have lots of similar Brands… like Gravely, Scags, Bad Boy, Ariens, Hustler, Husqevarna, Dixie Chopper, etc.

That may be true, with the exception of Deere. My dealer (Sunshine Equipment) explicitly told me there is ZERO difference for theirs. The only difference is WHO does the final assembly. In Deere’s case, they have a traveling factory assembler that goes store to store following shipments. Home Depot is forbidden by contract from working on them/servicing/troubleshooting. The difference will be model availability as the box stores are limited in the models they offer.

The truck in the photo is sadly “Rest in Pieces”. I’m building the new-er one in similar fashion… slowly.

My neighbor went through 3 JD riding mowers from Lowe’s in 20 years . I still have my 2005 Husqvarna with Kawasaki engine that I bought at a tractor dealer . . My father in law and my son in law bought Husqvarnas through Lowe’s with Briggs and Stratton engines. They only lasted 4 years .:notsure:

You never know what you're going to get. I bought the cheapest JD mower Lowes had in 2008, it still runs fine, still has original belts. My next one will be from a dealership, I need someone to cuss at if theres a problem.
