As someone who has had both and was involved in early UX for a while, it's really 100% about which interface you prefer. Functionality difference is negligible. Price is about brand now and no longer quality cause they all compete around the same quality now. It used to be different, but not anymore.

I have a guy I work at da plant with he has one… durin the Vietnam war he worked at the proving grounds for solid fuel rockets for flares they used.. his been at the plant well over 50 some odd years

You can do either. It more depends on how you drive those miles and what you use for those intervals.
I’m doing 10K, but I use genuine filters, and Mobile 1 extended synthetic oil. I drive city with plenty of Highway to guarantee those changes are typical. If I thought those intervals were questionable, I’d reduce them. I was a 3K back when 6K was a high. I’ve learned with Hondas and Now Toyotas to monitor and adapt.

I don't drive as much since retirement.
I'm back to the same OCI as for my '74 PintoSaurus station wagon

... which was a decent car, actually, despite the reputation.
I got over 100k outta mine with no major problems.
First car I bought new.

 

5000 the motor will outlast the body frame etc especially my lovely 4 CYLINDER YOUR 6 cyl it’s questionable with oil leaks etc

 

I seem to drive an equal amount of each. Takes me awhile to get to 5K . 7 miles to work . Highway.

 

Never really cared much for Eddie Money.
