Was driving next to a girl in one on the freeway about two weeks ago. We were going 75.
Assuming autopilot since she was reading a book when she went by. Like actually reading a book.

 

So...let say it takes one to have the procedures done every 10 years or so, what if this client found tumor before the 10 years? Who to be blame then

 

Teslas and EVs are too fucking heavy. I can’t wait to start seeing structural collapses and when bridges and infrastructure was designed with traditional vehicle weight in mind.

I’m apparently between Raleigh and Durham. Mostly going to Raleigh. Not able to explore really, except when the hubby comes home from work. Mostly to eat and drink. I’ve been on the porch all morning doing web stuff and entertaining myself with the woods (cluster),animals and rain (brief). Going to some Peruvian chicken place for lunch, and some food truck thing for dinner… named after a metal… zinc, magnesium, lead, galvanize? Fly out tomorrow evening.

I keep hearing of a governmental reckoning coming for them. Because they don’t use gas, they pay no road use taxes. The Governments (local, state, federal), are considering a 10K mile ‘surcharge’ tax for EVs. So, essentially a $1.5K annual tax on non gas EVs (hybrids excluded obviously)

I mean diesel motors were supposed to be the economical alternative to gasoline and look how that played out

 

24 states already have additional taxes for ev’s to mitigate gas tax losses.

In wa for example they calculate the average number of miles driven per year by residents. They then divide that total by the average mpg of all registered passenger vehicles in the state.

Works out to a couple hundred bucks extra for evs due at annual registration renewal.

I don’t necessarily care for them personally. I think they are part of a solution but not the solution. I might own one as a second vehicle for a daily if I had a house and garage for charging.

 

Yeah I agree with the logic by @Steelhead Bum but man there’s a fuck ton of EV fan bois. Just let me have a hilux or a new FJ70 or a JDM sports car with a manual transmission and no lane keep assist or other bullshit nanny features and quit bitching about how EVs are morally superior.

Someone else just bought a skyline on my block the other day so now I have two just on my block lol.

New one is silver.
Other one is like a salsa pearl red. No idea what the actual color is but that’s what it reminds me of in Toyota paints.
