Somewhere I have all my photos from Katrina. I’ll never forget the smells and heat afterwards. I was away for probably 3-4 weeks before we were allowed to return. My neighbor stayed and said it was rough. He’s since filled in the gaps. FEMA (National Guard) were pivotal with ICE/Water/MREs. Any time he went, the would give him a box of each. Gas was a near impossibility and cash talked, plastic walked.

 

Yeah I believe it, heard similar stories from my peeps in Wilmington. One thing that angered them was the media shows up for the storm, but as soon as its over they DGAF anymore. Which isn’t surprising.

My first visit to NOLA was in 2015. Interesting place for sure.

I miss the pepperjack boudin balls I had in Baton Rouge lol

Tornados aint no joke either, this was my buddy's place 3 months ago.

 

For real bro - they seem to pop up in Bama, Missouri, and the usual places, Oklahoma etc. The thing with tornadoes is how quick they spin up, come in, destroy and get out.

At least with hurricanes, we can see them coming, and prepare to get out.
