I wanna say that stretch of 40 is the worst - always pics on the news of someone fucking up around RDU
But there is even worse shit E of Raleigh...

I used to drive out to Bailey [Rocky Mount] every Monday morning and I'd go against the traffic
I also went up to Louisburg one morning
The inbound traffic from the East was completely insane

Then some fuckery on 40 East around 55.

Drivers have gotten worse and there’s never any enforcement against shitty driving.

Then I had a fucktard in an unmarked SHP Durango cut me off coming out of Wade Ave.

Don't hate on SHP or the regular cops for that matter
They both are GROSSLY understaffed [up to 50% in some agencies]
They simply cannot do traffic enforcement regularly due to the staffing issues


The state did some bullshit about 8 years ago that stripped new officers of the lifetime pension/benefits that state employees usually get
That wrecked recruiting; benefits are the main reason people take state jobs - sure as shit ain't for the pay
Add in the extreme scrutiny that officers are under and the willingness of local politicians to throw them [LE] under the bus without even a second glance - it is an impossible work environment so the good ones leave and they cannot fill the vacancies



I always let LE in, in front of me, because I don't want em behind me - I ain't gettin stopped LOL
Let a Wake Sheriff in the other week in Raleigh - he was all surprised when I stopped and waved him in
[we were kinda waiting at a light, I didn't just stop to let the dude in]
