The El Yucateco hot sauces are leaps and bounds better than Cholula.

Do you know what I find terribly interesting?

The area we were actually supposed to drive through if we had gone the planned route, reported a forrest fire yesterday.

Of the sauces in the poll, Cholula for flavor (it has no heat), Tabasco because that was the very first hot sauce I ever tried, back in my 3rd grade cooking "class" that my teacher did once a week. As I grew up in south central Los Angeles, the majority of my classmates were hispanic, and so the teacher brought in a couple bottles of Tabasco, as she thought some of the students might want some. I tried it, and life has never been the same.

I have been chasing hot, hotter, hottest my whole life. I do not really have a "favorite" hot sauce, as the ones that are "hot enough" for me, tend to have no discernable flavor, just pure heat. I prefer habanero based sauces at a bare minimum, to get close to my heat level, but even then, companies put just a bare minimum of actual pepper in the sauces, as mot American's are not crazy heat seekers, and don't want truly hot sauces.

Happy Hot Sauce Wednesday to all!!

Which one was that? I can't keep up with the thread when I walk away for even a day. I like the Green Cholula but now I'm curious.
