Supposedly it's untrue that deer are color blind. They see blues and greens quite well.
But they can't distinguish long wave length color (e.g. "blaze orange").
Ever see orange camo? Yeah, it looks stupid but it can break up your outline.

I may be out of date here, but in PA you can ONLY wear full camo for archery and spring turkey seasons.
You need it for turkeys!

But even then, when moving you gotta have blaze orange showing, I forget how many square inches.
So other hunters are in no doubt.
I have a turkey hunting outfit in Advantage camo.
The crush hat is reversible with orange blaze on the inside.

01-Sept used to be like Christmas Day for me and my buds. There was 5 or 6 of us. We had permission to hunt an orchard that bordered cornfields or milo. Everyone used a 12ga, from Rem 870's, 1100's to Browning A5 Humpback. Me, I used an 870 20ga 28" barrel choked modified. Most days out would see a limit of 12 with a box of shells. Yeah, we hit the doves pretty hard.

For those with snooty taste buds, take two dove breasts, put some Stove Top stuffing in between, wrap with bacon and use a toothpick to hold together. Put on the grill till the bacon is done. Enjoy around a fire, with friends, and an adult beverage of your choice.

We have a few more 90 degree days coming here, but fall is coming fast.
