There was only one good thing about last winter. My old truck ('94 Ranger) inexplicably grew a snow mustache on the side of the bed and I took a picture of it.

That was the only good thing that happened in an otherwise gray and miserable span of three months.

I'm okay with it til January.
After that, the novelty has worn off.
    Cabin fever sets in.

Chilly fall evening with a deer in the back followed by a warm fire and a solid snooze are one of my favorite things on this earth.

Now sitting in your blind, freezing your nads off waiting for said deer? Yeah, not so much a fan, but gotta have one to have the other.

Luckily my last deer, I was in the blind for a solid 11 minutes before he walked out, and I showed him the ol' 168gr whatfer. One before that was a little over an hour.

Someone needs to learn how to ski! :D

I know what you mean. Love the weekends so I can go skiing, but on the day to day walk from the car to the grocery store, etc. Yeah, I'm over it by mid Feb. Thankfully, I can escape the valley and go down to St George where it's sunny and in the 50s all winter if I need a break.

    Yikes.

Forget the snow mustache, get a load of that rust.

    Ha, fuck that. :p

I weakened my left knee permanently while skiing at the age of 19.
Still bothers me a little with any change in the weather.

Yep, you're right about that. :pout:

The rust was the main reason I had to get rid of that truck... it wouldn't even pass PA state inspection anymore.

Yeah, I junked my F-150 a year ago when it wouldn't pass inspection any more.
Between that and getting a hernia, time to (semi) retire.

On the bright side, I bought my Tacoma and ended up here. o_O

I pulled a hip flexor rock climbing a few years ago, and I'm the same way. Get sorta crotchety when the weather turns some days. Weather took a chilly turn yesterday, and at 27 years old, I told a high school kid to get off my lawn this morning.
