I watched the movie years ago. And I recall many of the series episodes. Good entertainment back then.

Could it be your battery? I had mine go out after less than two years.

    Will it turn over?
    If not, likely the battery.
    It wouldn't be surprising.

It's heat that weakens auto batteries. (That and deep cycles).
But they tend to finally give up the ghost in late Winter.
    More often then than otherwise.

Sounds like a dead battery to me.

    Funny how that is.
I got 12 years out of the original battery in my F-150.
Replaced the battery and alternator (just in case) at the same time.
And got less than 2 years with the replacement.
The next battery after that went 11 years before I junked the truck.

    Probably just the battery.
But have the alternator checked as well.

Best for battery longevity is to drive it daily and always long enough to fully recharge.
    Shallow recharging cycles.
I drove that F-150 for work and beat the crap out of it.

Seen the movie "No country for old men"? In that situation I'd be sorely tempted. But not dumb enough to do what he did.

    Anyway, good luck.

Have you signed up at the Toyota website?
You can input the VIN and see the service history.
Assuming the original owner had service done at the stealership. :p

I looked mine up and the previous owner apparently did all his servicing with Toyota.
And the original battery went 10 years plus.

Not worth the risk. Although I would happily report the find to the authorities in hopes of getting a little sump'n sump'n as a reward... :D

You'd be tempted though. Admit it.
    That one's a toughie.

Well from a pragmatic point of view...for a year or less you get to do it in county jail. Which isn't as bad as prison. But from a moral stance. If it ain't mine don't touch it. Do I still get to keep it if I'm caught? :D

If I go to jail I'd lose my job (which pays more than that bag holds every year) so no temptation for me. Not worth it. Plus it's not the right thing to do...

Dammit Poll!!!! My conscious of taking it would keep me awake at night. My regrets of missed opportunities would also keep me awake at night! Fuck it! I’m an insomniac, either way I’m awake! I’m taking it!!!

Shit, I can’t do that!!! I turn it in, I think.
