It sucked. I'm sick so I took PTO. My wife ran errands so I watched the kiddos. Built animals out of blocks and then my son started playing video games on the front room TV. My daughter and I were playing a make a cake app on her tablet for ten minutes or so then there was banging on the door. My son, some good hearted teenage girl, and the cops. I forgot to latch the top of the door and i guess my son undid the bolted door and walked down the street. After an interview and a walk through they decided to not call CPS. I'm just stuck in my head of what could have happened and my mistake of not locking the chain that he cant reach, even with a chair. I feel like a bad dad basically.

Don’t. It happens. He wasn’t hurt is the biggest thing. I had to move the chains to the tops of the doors when mine was younger. When it got to where he could reach them we installed dead bolts.
