    Those boats are no joke and take a lot to learn. Sailing is a hell of a lot of fun but takes experience to know how to set your sails and adjust them for the conditions. My buddies was a 34’ Tartan and it was a 3 man job to run regattas. Bigger ones have electric winches to run the sails and those are absolutely necessary for solo voyages

    Yeah. I plan I learning to sail down in a class. And then some cruising up and down the coast a bit before actually attempting a crossing.

    The Boat I want has some some electric winches I believe. And if not Ill add some.

    Nope. One of my best friends dad lives in VA and has the boat. They are like my extended family and we’d go out after work or on weekends. Basically I’d crew for him for regattas and when the weather was nice. Gotta say. The peace of sailing is pretty unrivaled.

    I love that show. Spoken to them a few times. Been subbed for years. It was one of the things that pulled me through when I was at my lowest and immobile after my injury. The theme song alone makes me smile
