    About the poll.

Both daughter and son have kids.

With a daughter you are very involved. You get to give advice and help. She turns to you if she is scared or doesn’t feel good or needs anything.

With a son, you don’t get a say. She turns to her mom. You are on the sidelines in this scenario.

I think I would still talk to my folks about it. They tend to be very helpful, give solid advice, and be very objective about things I bring up. I never swear around my folks, but in the past they know it's bad when I sit them down and say "I fucked up." This poll is much different so I'm not sure. I would hope for openess and honesty either way

I’m talking about if the son gets the GF pg. It’s a whole different experience than if your own daughter is pg. Your own daughter will turn to you. Your sons GF will turn to her mom.

True, but I would still assume your son would turn to you. Not as involved as you would be with the other scenario, but still involved so long as the gf wants him involved

He did turn to us and still does. They broke up and she went back to her parents 6 hours away. It’s really hard being on this end of it let me tell ya. My daughters kids we have all the time because of their work schedule. So this sucks to be missing one.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad he feels comfortable going to you. I know people who've been in similar scenarios, but have not been it myself so my experience is limited.

We had our kids young. I was pg with my 3rd by the time I was 20 so we kinda grew up with them. We are all really close. Too close sometimes! There are just some things they shouldn’t share with their Moma!!! Lol

What sucks..... is all parents dead and gone by the time your kid is 2. Left with only you and your wife, no friends or family to really vent to or bounce ideas off of, etc....

Went in all alone and with no medical insurance. Our insurance kicked in 6 days before he was born.
