I stayed at my friend's place in Smith, she has 20 acres at the end of a string of acerages. If I could live like that, they can look at me all they want..lol

 

Reno is one of those "wonderful" places that can backwards and forwards at the same time depending where you're at. I was "with" this one girl who was from California and she said Reno is behind the times and a bunch of hicks who need California to help us "get with the social/political times". Very interesting considering it's actually a pretty culturally diverse city. She was a hippy though

Or that wonderful strip of land where NorCal meets southern Oregon. We drove through a small one road town during a bachelor party and had one of our friends who happens to be African American...we did not get out.

Reno is a great area and super diverse... It's just when you venture outside that bubble that it gets sketch.

 

Oh, I like the small town feel, but if I'm made to feel like I'm a leper, by all means I have no problem assimilating as long as y'all leave me the hell alone lol

Most people will gladly leave you alone as they themselves want to be left alone too. Lots of ranchers or small town groups that keep to themselves. I live in south Reno which is growing like wildfire and is becoming a bit too crowded for my taste

Are you the cool aunt that gives them all the fun stuff?. I'm just saying, I grew up in southern Oregon. Riddle, where my grandparents lived wasn't bad, but travel further south and you get into some very interesting areas.

It's a mindset! Bought the Tundra in Sept. '18 and building up early last year and having a hell of a time being off-road. Safe to say my best life yet!

 

We were in Kentucky visiting family a few years ago and I had never seen black fences prior to then. Loved it.

Last time we went wheeling there was this older lady parked with her Subaru well into the snow pack playing with her dog up in MET. She was easily in her 60s or 70s... I hope that would be me one day.
