    You called?

    peewee2.jpg

    And before you ask...

    I've been coping with a "flu-like illness".

That's what the warning signs say at the entrances to the psychiatric hospital I deliver to.
Most of the patients have been sent home and the (remaining) staff are all wearing masks. o_O
I've delivered hundreds of doses of TamiFlu to them in the last week.
The pharmacist said they shoulda offered me one.

I had the flu shot last Autumn and apparently it helped.
Mostly I'm just tired and achy and slightly feverish.
    And cranky.

    Anyway, Good Morning.
    Bleh.

Makes sense! Hoping on your getting a good review! Hang in there with work! Most of us just deal with being there and able to pay bills, so you're not alone.

    Re the poll:

What's with the bogus options? :annoyed:
    Dead leaves.
Worse comes to worst, I'd sacrifice a bandanna (always have one in my back pocket).

    Poison oak, eh?
That reminds me of a story....

Many years ago I was visiting a friend and helped him clear out some brush.
It was approximately this time of year, so no greenery in evidence.

He wore gloves, just in case, because he's highly sensitive to poison ivy.
I wondered at that (it being late February /early March) but hey, I'm not susceptible...

You can guess what's next, can't you? :p

So at some point (as he said later) he had to take a leak and took his gloves off.
Then put them back on and resumed working.
He thoroughly washed his hands when we were done.

Sometime after midnight I hear "Jesus Christ!" from his room.
Bam, his feet hit the floor and he runs to the bathroom.
After a short delay during which I presume he turned on the light and had a look...
    FUUUCK!
    FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!

I guess he yanked up some vines with sap in them.
    Hard to explain otherwise. :notsure:

Thanks. It is an absolutely wonderful review which is part of why it bums me out. I expected more constructive criticism, but instead just had positive feedback from both my manager and peers.

Unfortunately as far as payout goes, it doesn't help much. We didn't meet all our company goals this year which impacts our bonuses so I'm not expecting much, if anything.

Grass isn't always greener. Govt work isn't much better. Stability, but at the price of working with some incompetent workers that you can't phase out, and very low morale. All overworked and underappreciated and stuck cuz a lot of us started at a young age so even with years of service, being too young to retire you don't get squat leaving early. Yeah, love my yob.

Yep, I get that. We've got a few friends working for the state in addition to my mother in law. My last team was full of incompetent people who sucked the life out of me. Now I'm happy to be surrounded by enough intelligence to combat the random idiocracy, but I have no real contribution to anything now and I miss actual work.

    Morning Mark.
