Here are some more practical ones.
The square one is white oak and red oak.
The ones with handles are solid birch. Very hard.
Notice the wood is spalted.
That's streaking due to bacteria when a tree is dead for a few years and still standing in the woods.
People seem to like the rustic look of a "live edge", that is, the edge right under the bark.
