Medical workers should get pay increases.

I received a pay cut on Friday along with my co workers. Cut hours and lowered commission percentage. Thanks boss.

We're already slow. It sucks balls but at least I still have a job (for now).

 

I found out today that us being a grocery distribution center and because we are one of the biggest within the WalMart company we will be second to last to be shut down. Last place that will be shut down If necessary will be medical facilities. For the last month they cut all over time. Today they made an announcement that all positions will be excepting any overtime that anyone wants the only stipulation is we can’t work more than six days without taking a day off.

 

Ours closed Sunday. Along with restaurants.

 

Restaurants here too. I was just trying to scare the Ho.

$$ part just wasn't there enough to justify all the extra work the new position would bring. She declined the offer and is happily back delivering babies. She gave it a lot of thought and decided she really loves what she does in OB and doesn't want to work Mon-Fri after all.

Makes me happy cause she seems much less stressed since making the decision. Could see her anxiety building more and more every time we talked about worked. Really glad it worked out this way and not six months later when it would have been harder to get back into OB.

That sucks. We did just have a chunk of lay offs recently which folks can opt into a 90 day program where they'll assist you in finding another role in the company. Last week was also supposed to have employee appreciation week and announcing some additional reorg changes. Everything's been cancelled and now nothing has been mentioned. It's shitty timing for everyone.

Our entire company is being moved to teleworking by Wednesday of this week. Almost 2000 additional employees on our VPN. We'll see how this holds up.

Aww, well I'm glad it worked out in the end but bummed you couldn't lock in your weekends together. The additional stress wouldn't have been worth it to me either. This was probably meant to be and another opportunity will come up in the future that makes more sense.

Have you guys had any changes happen at work due to the virus or still status quo?
