I said that for 15 years with booze and dope. I'll have 4 years clean on June 1st (4.75 years if it weren't for a fuckup one weekend). Funny thing is I didnt start smoking cigarettes till i first got sober over 4.5 years ago. Compared to what i use to do, this is nothing. Bad for me, but doesnt land me in handcuffs or change my behavior. Lesser of the evils. One day though in the future before my kids grow up I will quit. Just not today, tomorrow, this month......

I am still able to go outside and do my work, been raining most of the week here along with other stupid piddly annoying problems going on.

 

I have definitely slowed down drinking from what I used to do , I’ll go a month or two with out , can’t drink when I have to work the next day ,now I get hangovers from hell Cant hang which is good in my book

 

Well im glad you did quit all of that and hope you successfully quit smoking soon, when you're ready!

 

I usually smoked a half a pack to a pack a day and they were American spirits the last few years so it added up money wise... the whole 25 years adds up to way too much.

 

That'll do it, it's hard to not be blah all the time with crappy weather and problems. Hopefully you'll get a sunny day out there soon. It does help.

 

I only have one or two at home occasionally. I had to quit drinking as much as possible cause it made me wanna smoke! Plus, I was an asshole while drinking for quite awhile. Luckily I got out of that whole thing and am normal again... Plus I don't go out or play darts anymore so its all alot easier to not do since I just work and stay home lol

 

Same here never go out , couldn’t tell you the last time i went to go shoot pool . That’s why I was looking forward to the concert we were supposed to go to in July but that’s not gunna happen

A buddy has tickets to Rammstein in September (LosAngeles). @OneGiraffe and I saw them back in 2011, and I wanted to go to this, but we assumed we'd be out of CA by then. Not to mention we're like what, 9 hours from LA right now... Anyway, I hope that show will see happen.

No traffic at this time, you could make it in 6 or less.

 

The last show we went to was Mushroomhead, The Browning, Kissing Candice, and a couple small groups I don't remember. Small venue (less than 100 people) and it was great! We totally felt old though...

Nice I like small shows , I worked at a scout bar down here in beaumont while I was apprenticing pipefitter .A journeyman i worked with was head security asked if I wanted to make some money . Got see a lot of bands , meet a lots of people Few Otep , Tesla, dokken, clutch , took a shot with Josie from saliva after we shut down, met spider from power man , apocalyptica hella more and the bassist for the hunger managed it . Now it’s been like over 11 or so yrs since I been to a show
