Apparently the Marlin 39A is technically still in production.
There have been some refinements over the years, but the basic design is still the same as in 1891.
Which makes it the longest continuous production run in history for an American firearm.

I say American because the British Brown Bess flintlock musket had a long run too. :notsure:

[EDIT] Just looked it up. 1722 to 1838 for the Brown Bess.
    The Marlin has that beat.

Just one little problem if you want a new Marlin 39A...
It's a custom gun shop thing.

    Only $3,195 bucks. o_O

I forget what I paid for mine, but I'm pretty sure it was less than $500 new.
It's still in very good condition.
A quick search shows that used ones in merely good condition can be had for $600 or so...

Tell you what though, the Marlin is heavy (for a .22) and has a 24 inch barrel.
Lovely trigger, precise rifling, long sighting plane...
    All that helps with accuracy.
    And it's beautifully made.

    But wow.
I hope it's brought back into regular production instead of just custom.

Guess I better tell Mrs Gritto what it's worth.
    Just in case...

Morning OP! Good choice on taking the high road. Now can you do something about @Red Mud Ray and his lack of initiative to provide a selfie or at least a valid excuse to not share???

Brought this mower to work today and removed the vacuum, new blades, new air filter and greased. It’s ready to mow!

Hopefully I don’t rip the rear bracket off. The guy I bought it from said he had the rear bumper somewhere.

    Hey De! :hattip:

How are you? Back at work yet? How's the kid?

I vaguely remember a blur haha!

It's cool! As I'm thinking about it I'm pretty sure I left them in the pantry. Received an order of Kleenex yesterday and used a key to open the box. Think I set them down while putting the individual boxes of Kleenex away. Lessons to be learned here:
A- Only use you keys for their intended purpose.
2- I should look into buying a nice knife as this is not the first time I've done this
C- Don't get carried away with the  and :rasta: while so many other things are happening at home.
