Look at the schematic. The wiring harness is basically two parts. Top half is switches. Bottom half is wiring for accessories with built in relay. I have to use the bottom half no matter what.

I want to ditch the top half and connect my existing panel to the bottom half.

you dont have to. you can omit the relay by either cutting it out or just getting some wire and running your own to the connectors for the accessories.

Basically the switch panel will have one wire per switch that will throw power to the accessory, harness of accessory, or relay.

so youve got your switch grounds covered, and your illumination covered. ignore all that then. So you need the switch to send power to w/e pin on the connector that came with the new harness for the compressor to tell the relay/solenoids when to come on

I think I'm interpreting the schematic correctly. I want to ditch the top half (switch wiring loom) and connect one wire from my existing compressor switch and 1 from my existing locker switch to the harness (bottom half, photo 3).

if i remember correctly since your not using a front locker you do not need the isolation switch, correct?

    :bananadead:

I thought the isolation switch was the compressor switch.

if its like the jeep i did years ago, the isolation switch was there to prevent the front locker from being on without the rear on.

omit w/e switch is the front locker and it makes the diagram simpler.

that or the switch is there to prevent either locker from being on unless the compressor is on... thats more likely now that im thinking about it. (man im feeling like an idiot right now) its not helping its just labeled switch 1 2 and isolation

Look at the schematic. There is no "compressor switch label". But the way the switches are wired, the rear locker (switch 1) does not get power unless the compressor (isolation switch) is engaged. The front locker (switch 2) does not get power unless both the compressor and rear locker are engaged. On the top part of the schematic, see the pink highlight(which turns on compressor) also goes from the isolation switch to switch 1 power and orange highlight (which turns on locker) also gives power to switch 2?

On schematic, switch pole 2 gives power to switch. Pole 3 throws power from switch to accessory, relay, etc.

The way the switches are wired in the provided harness does this. I was going to duplicate this in my DIY switch panel. My locker switch would not have power unless my compressor switch was engaged throwing power to the compressor.
