    So I got off work at 2, plopped my fat ass in the (wonderful) zero gravity chair in the shop and thought to myself, 'what a waste of a beautiful day'. I slowly climbed my lazy, sloth-like self from that (amazing) chair, threw a rod in the truck and made a quick road trip. Caught 9 whites (white bass) and a dinker gar. Not great, but I've done much worse.

    It's nasty looking but if there's fish to be caught, I'm on it!
    That's an irrigation drainage ditch that runs through the area and dumps into the Mississippi River. White bass swim up these ditches, get their hump on, then head back to the river. This spot is 8 or 9 miles from the river.
