I went to school with a guy named Wesley, from kindergarten to 12th grade. He got an award when we graduated for perfect attendance, he didn't miss one single day through 13 years of school. My mom used to write my brother and I a note saying we had the flu and we would go with my dad to the hunting club for a week at a time, every year. I also faked sick one day to watch my dad shoot and skin a cow. I also forged mamma's signature on a paper once with a piece of carbon paper under her real signature, had to call her. Man, that was tough.

 

I hated school. I'd ditch every chance I got. For awhile I would act like I was going to catch the bus, but sneak out back and hide in the camp trailer. Then one day my mom and older sister left so I snuck in the house to get a snack and a glass of coke from my sister's 2 liter bottle. When they got back she noticed it was missing and they came hunting me down. I got a good butt whuppin and got watched until I got on the bus from then on.

 

I didn't care anything about it, I hated English, science, social studies, math, etc. Only thing I cared about was shop class in high school. Never even thought about going to college.
