I actually pride myself on adding value to a new industry because I've worked in so many different industries that I can apply solutions to problems that they've never considered.


I dont give two shits what industry I work in. Treat me correctly and I'm good.

 

Idddkk, my favorite thing at work is suggesting a genuinely good idea (i know, it's shocking coming from me) and it getting ignored. Doesn't bother me, let em go fuck it up. Also tried explaining how the whole idea behind how our department budget is allotted is flawed, because it's based on rentals...and the fewer things that are available, the less money we make, the smaller our budget, more things go down...rinse and repeat, and it's never-ending shitloop. I was given the "huh?" look.

Yeah, I typically move from "Super excited to help and solve issues/problems"

to


"well, the solution I provided would have avoided that, this, that over there, this and this...would have helped with that, saved you money here and been a shorter implementation time" after I get ignored.


Currently, the boss' wife (who doesn't understand how spell check works) is regurgitating all of the suggestions I've submitted for the last three years as her own ideas.

Just wait until she's asked to explain where the idea came from and how it will work, all on her own

 

Oh, she's simply hiring "consultants" to basically do all the work...lol.

When she told everyone she was hiring consultants, I asked (in front of everyone, mind you) about how the company was "saving money by reducing the GM position" that I was hired to take over. She had some sly remark about not worrying about it as I'm in sales.


I said, "well, we're paying you a salary, and now we are paying somebody who doesnt even work here a salary, to dig up info, implement changes that we can do."

"So, to clarify, you wanted to save money by not promoting a current employee to GM and giving them a raise by paying consultants......gotcha. Thats called the shell game."

 

Definitely garbage. I might be tempted to mail it back anonymously with a note that says "No Thanks"
