    Each roll is independent, so 1% every time. Doesn't increase if you keep going. Think of it like having 99 blue marbles and 1 red marble in a bag. You replace it every time you pick and the odds don't change

    I wouldn't be hard on them, just give talk to them about it, let them know maybe they should wait, be safe about it. I was always honest with my folks about stuff, so they never had a reason to freak out about things. They know I won't go do anything (too) stupid

    Statistically each roll is independent. However (and I forget the terminology as it's been a while) at some point I believe it is more probable to get that 1%, although I've had too long of a day and a few drinks to prevent me from looking it up. Statistics is fascinating, because there is always a probability of something happening, and if you know how it works, you can use it to your advantage.
