Round 2 boiled peanuts... 2.5 lbs of peanuts, 1/2 cup of salt, 1/4 cup of pepper, 1 jar of Mezzetta hot chili pepper, and 1/4 of cup of cayenne!

 

Well it has been one long and hot AF afternoon looking for lost dogs.

one dog has been found. But the dog that’s about 12 years old and usually stays with the other dog has yet to be found.

 

Boiled peanuts were a success!!

It makes me so happy that he loves something this much that I love!

 

Today’s random fact (bonus):

While certainly agile with the use of their prehensile tails, lemurs instinctively hate drive-in movies.

This is how I used to make hot dill pickles but I used fresh dill. I would let them set for 2 weeks before eating.

it’s 90* out this afternoon. We know they where in a creek some at least. I know I was down in it and even started going thru a Culvert that goes under the damn interstate.

 

We eat half a jar of clausens and half a jar of hot peppers and just combine!

 

Ended up saving propane for the boiled peanuts! McHome made in the oven!!

 

I am doing a hot water bath. 4 cups of vinegar 2 H2O 2 tablespoons kosher salt 2 tablespoons sugar that is my brine. I use garlic and dill. I’m adding a Hungarian pepper to a couple of quarts should be nice
