Way back before cell phones I needed to talk to a friend of mine at another machine shop, a big machine shop. I called and ask for Doug G, she said we can't let you talk to him. I said it's kind of important, I ran over his dog on the way in this morning. She said OH NO, I'll get him. He came to the phone, I said if anybody ask your dog is dead. He said okay.

He didn't even have a dog

That's unfortunately not how it is in Norcal. If/when you find a river to tube in, most likely it is cold beyond belief all summer long and crawling with people who have no business being anywhere near the water. Bums me out a little which is why we stick to rural lakes and creeks.
