If I was a for real inmate though I would probably be in a lot of f****** fights... or I would be in my cell all the time reading books. I go to jail 5 days a week as it is for my civilian job

I am a walk and sit hunter haha. Glass and stalk if I am feeling frisky. We have been hunting the same land since I was 12 (26 years) but my family has been hunting it since the 30's. We have a hunting cabin that we "base camp" out of that my Grandfather built because it is where they hunted when he was a kid. The deer just aren't there many years. Of course we all have theories as to why our success has fallen off as a group but the leading ones are Irrigation. We hunt at the higher elevations but the valleys on both sides are well irrigated with people moving into foothills etc and I dont think that as many deer are coming up like they used to because all the food they have off the valley farms etc. There are lower spots with plenty of deer that we can hunt but it gets pretty crowed. We could "go to them" but that is not Tradition! haha. I have done some bow hunting to make me a better rifle hunter as well. I have been in the wrong place wrong time a lot the past years as well as not taking the shot because it likely wouldnt be clean. For me, the deer part is about 5-10% of it. It is the week with the life-long buddies that makes it worth it!
My savage is an older Model 99.

You are right, it totally is me! haha. I dont cover as much ground as I used to for sure! This will be my year though, I am in better shape than some previous years and "tag salad" is getting frustrating! Haha! I have a plan for this year already and I will be hitting some spots that I hiked to when I was 20.... so if I die, you all will know why.

    1) Too much initial expense

    2a) Too much work

    [or]

2b) Have some dick like @JaCado overcharge you to maintain it.

    3) We had swimming holes back in the day...

How many times in your life have you wanted to buy something sooooooo bad?
    Something real expensive.
    Then you got it.

It's like the guy who bought a speedboat, or sportscar, or a brand new loaded Harley.
The day he got it he was so delighted.
The day he got rid of it he was even more delighted.

Swimming pools are like that, 'cept you can't get rid of them.

Anyone else’s yard brown and crunchy? We have been 85 to 90+ for almost two weeks with very little rain.

Yes, my yard feels like walking on steel wool.

Sounds like it too, when I mow.
