I vote earthquake after crawling through mortuary basements and crawl spaces after the one that we had. Of course, the mess after a hurricane and storm surge seems unimaginable.

 

Earthquakes are frequent and usually non-eventful. Hurricanes usually cause way more death and destruction than earthquakes. That said, when the big one hits...

No, I was technically giving a 1 week notice because I was taking the second week off for us to move (next week). Working out of state is a big no-no at my work but my boss convinced me to stay on till the end of August to work through my transition and got approval from our VP for me to do it out of state.

An extra couple paychecks and also not needing to switch our medical coverage for another month was the main incentive for me taking her up on it.

As a whole, we lost a ton of moderation, compromise, and healthy (non-belligerent) debate. I'd like to see some of that back. Along with a massive dose of fiscal conservatism and personal responsibility.

I know, that is asking for way more than I could realistically hope for.
