Said son is 16. He lives with his mother and I get him for the summer, x-wife hasn't taken him to a dentist in over 3 years so I had mine do his cleaning. All 15 cavities were in between the teeth, He doesn't floss. NOW his is going to. My youngest son has an appointment on the 19th of July. I told him that he had better not have the same.

Wow. I'm thirty and I've only had two cavities in my life.

Lucky U, My 16yr has teeth like mine but My dad was a dentist but he retired back in 96. I've had most of my teeth filled or Capped. One of my problems was I liked Laughing Gas. My dad would clean my teeth and say, "We got a few cavities!" and I was like ok, lets get the gas and fill em. LOL but seriously, wish I would have taken better care of my teeth, trying to teach my kids the importance of this, You DON'T want dentures.

Genetics also plays a role in healthy teeth. Take a paper clip with you and tell the dentist you want to use it for the post instead of their $50 stainless steel jobbies. I kid, I kid. don't do that.

:anonymous: me, too. Folks didn't "make" me brush, so didn't do it very often. Wish I had, now... still have all of mine, but like you, lots of fillings and a few capped....
