What's a good off road tire near OEM size?

My truck(Prerunner) is totally stock, no lift or anything. Before fall, it will have new leaf springs and tires, but I'm not wanting to stray very far away from OEM sizes.
I won't be doing anything hardcore, just desert excursion type stuff with friends(think Mojave Road). Nothing high speed. What are you guys using for this application? Any advice will be helpful since I pretty-much know nothing:eek:

    Thanks!

Nailed it. BFG MTs, Nitto Terra Graplers, and Goodyear Duratracs are all popular. I love my Duratracs. Highly recommend them, just not sure how they would perform for your needs.

There is also 275/70/16 or 17's. Little wider and hair taller than stock.
