Not quite as robust as the others, but same concept.

That's right! If someone wants the things they will find a way. Not sure if it's worth dropping ~$200 on the other mou ts when the shovel and axe are on $50 combined.

I was going to go with these but I'm planning on doing some bars across my bed with a plano mounted to store more recovery gear than just shovel and axe.

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, SOS rear bumper, SOS skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
Small shovels are good for digging a hole to take a dump in.

Go to Lowes and by a full grown man shovel, spray paint it black so it blends into your bed, attach it to your bed rail with quick fist mounted to relentless brackets and forget about it. It will be there when you need it for camping, wheeling, etc

If someone walks off with it your out $25.00.
Go buy another one and repeat.

Do you strap that on your roof rack or bumper? Maybe you just toss it in the bed?

Surplus shovel until you have to use it and then you will find a way to carry a larger / full size.

I like my 47" Fiskar digging shovel. It's hard to beat for $30. The steel handle is powder-coated, the blade has a sharpened tip, the oversized D handle is big enough for both hands, and it has large steps so it is easy on your feet.

You need to pay at least $150 for a shovel and make sure to mount it on your tailgate or across your windshield so everyone knows you’re a hardcore overlanderer
