The vehicle commonly referred to as "The War Rig" is a 78 foot 18 wheeler based on a Tatra T815
That’s the one I was talking about.

I have a baby shovel from home Depot. Works good for me, for fires and turds. Haven't had to dig myself out yet tho. Mounted with my own mounts and quickfists.

I've had a shovel like that for years. Used it many time to help people get unstuck on the beach.

Never carried a tow strap...was always paranoid of pulling someones front end off their Honda Civic type car.

    Beach is 4x4 only now.

I really like the krazy beaver shovel super beefy and rugged design. Pay 89.99 once never buy another or you could do the $10-25 option possibly break a handle or catch a splinter. I really think It boils user preference.

Also this was a weapon of choice for when the Jerries entered your trench as the whizz bangs landed all around.

For those in the south west and leave their tools on the rack, does the sun destroy the (wood or plastic) handles?

    Which mounting rack is that?
I'd like to get my shovel, mattock & old hilift stowed and locked

What did you use to back up that D-ring next to the box?

I’ve got a HD d handle special, $10 and so far so good.
Might replace it with a planting shovel- I can toss those better..

The cold steel special forces shovel makes for a great camp shovel, similar to one posted above. Also fits in the under seat storage bin.
