The rusty bolts never bothered me, until I stripped or sheared off the bolt heads from these bad boys when I did my complete transfer case/differential fluid change. I spent half a day drilling the damn left over bolt studs out.

From Lowes, I bought 2 packs (5 in each pack) size M8-1.25 x 20mm to reinstall my freshly primed and painted OEM stamped steel skid plates.

I'm guessing: M=Metric, 8 = 8 mm diam, 1.25 is the pitch or coarseness of the threads, 20mm is the length.

You will need 8 total for both the large front skid plate and the smaller one just behind it. Don't forget the matching SS washers. I also installed it with SS split ring lock washers, for a little more security from coming loose.

+1 for Fastenal. They have tons of local stores as well. I have a couple near me that I can just walk in and pick up stuff....admittedly a little pricier than some places but we're not talking high dollar stuff.

Edit: Plus I don't want to order a few bolts/nuts online...it seems silly to me. Example, I needed 2 bolts and washers for my RTMR mount. Total at my local mom and pop (Hudson's Hardware) was like $2.50.

There is a little nuts and bolts store up the street from my house. I go there because I like to help the local businesses. There may be one somewhere around you. They tend to carry a broader variety of stuff than Lowes, because they are usually specialty stores.

Lots of good suggestions, but here's one more. This place specializes in metrics, and has lots of hard to find fasteners plus great service: https://www.belmetric.com
...and no I don't work there or own stock .
