What's a reasonable price for quality window tint?

I feel like 70% is not even noticeable on the windshield. Plus my other car has about 20% tint on the front windows and never got pulled over in since I got it 10 years ago.

 

Getting pulled over is all about how you drive and how flashy you are. My lexus rarely gets pulled over even with being lowered exhaust tint etc because I drive relaxed and it looks like a mom car. Just cruisng being respectful and safe most cops won't pull you over. When a cop thinks somethings up or youre being unsafe flashy obnoxious they'll pull you over becausing you're being dumb. Crusing with 20% won't get you pulled over doing 35 over will and then they just add tint on. Also in some states tint is a secondary offense so you can't get pulled over for just tint, not NJ though. IMO just get the back and sunroof done and use a sunshade.

Totally agree. I wouldn’t bother with anything other than ceramic. It made a huge diff in temperature during the summer and it’s only a few dollars more

 

Damn I was close. $805 for what OP orginally wanted plus removal of old tint and you get pretty close to those orginal offers. One of those mobile places is probably a bit cheaper considering their expenses.

 

Sounds like the tint that you got a quote for is equivalent to SpectraPhotosync.

Didn’t do the windshield because I wear polarized glasses and I my Maui Jim’s give a rainbow effect on the tint. Doesn’t bother me on the side windows but the windshield sure would.

 

I had mine done for about $200 to $300 and it's 3m when I was living in Irvine CA area. Shouldn't be too much imo

Yep, that is one of the best. I just did my 2 front sides to match the back sides and rear. From factory they are 28% and using the 35% tint they matched perfectly. Cost was $260 for the sides and I asked about the windshield and they said $275.

 

I had Llumar installed on all windows ans paid $300. Arguably one of the best brands.
Comes with a lifetime warranty that can be performed by any umar installer.

 

Does this also work for cold weather? Or is the tint just keeping the sun away..?

 

I paid $350 about two months ago, ceramic tint 20% sides and rear, 70% windshield. I’m very happy with the performance of the tint so far.
