got ceramic on my camry for a little over 400, side windows and rear, highest legal level for texas/louisiana, though I don't think the darkness changes the price really...they quoted like under 200 for non-ceramic

Not to mention, UV only compromises about 10% of the sun's output...

Interesting. I guess that explains why window tint only makes your car about 10% cooler.

It's ONLY keeping the sun away. It's not insulation or an air conditioner.

Cost - $309 for the Suntek ceramic on 4 taco side windows (what I chose, in Phoenix), 249 for the carbon on 4 windows. I have a softopper on the back, so didn't do any extra tint for that.

Yeah, seems highly dependent on location. Called a bunch of places and the cheapest I found was 800 for XR plus for all windows, or 650 for XR black.

Question on the rear tint. Anyone know how much the factory glass is tinted? If it's around 25%, I could put 70% over it which would give about 17% and then tint the fronts 15% to match as closely as possible.

I think they are 35% but I could be mistaken.

Got quotes from a dozen places for Xpel XR Plus or 3M Pinnacle. The best deal I found surprisingly was in NYC and not NJ. 800 tax included for all windows and windshield. Got 20% front sides, 70% back and windshield.

I paid $500 near Denver for all four side windows and the rear window, 15% all around.

Paid around $600 in SC, for 15% 3M ceramic, removal of dealer tint on front windows before install, and xpel ppf on my headlights.

Lifetime warranty on the tint and ppf. Kinda pricey but the shop did a good job and I didn't have to babysit them for a quality install. :notsure:

Taken multiple vehicles to a local shop here in PHX.
$190, no existing tint to remove, quality tint that holds up to the AZ sun.
Limo on the rear glass and back doors and 35% on the front.

Yesterday, 10/7/2022, paid $240 net, to have all windows done (excluding rear) with 15% film on a 2022 Tacoma. I went back to the tinter that has done my recent vehicles, including a 2020 $runner. I've never had an issue with his workmanship or the film, which is why I keep going back to the same business. Initially, choose this tinter because I determined he was the person who was tinting vehicles at the Toyota dealership which to me speaks to the quality. Not to take anything for granted I looked at his work on the vehicles at the dealership and was sold. In talking to the tinter, the $240 film I got on the Tacoma was the same as the dealer was generally having put on their vehicles, unless it was a special situation. FWIW: I have had tint issues in the past, mainly streaking, so I spent some time researching who to use as well as the tint. I'm located in the Boise, ID area.

I wanted the top of the line tint mainly for heat rejection. Basically comes down to xpel xr plus or 3m stratos. I called a ton of shops and went with 800 for all windows including windshield and sunroof with lifetime warranty. Best deal I could find in my area, north nj/nyc

SoCal paid $120 to Tint World for the front two windows to match OEM. Took about 45 minutes. They wanted to keep it overnight for the windshield and that was an O-Hell-No. Four months later I’m stoked!
