Hello everyone.I am new here and never owned a Tacoma before. I am looking to buy a 2nd Gen Tacoma. Can anyone tell me what years to avoid and what years are OK? I heard about the frame rusting problems. Can anyone tell me what years that covers? Thanx

Frame rusting isn't necessarily a year to year problem it is more about where you live and the conditions the truck will live in. From everything I know there aren't any years that are better or worse than any others. Obviously as the years progressed different and new things were brought to the table but I guess it really just depends what you are looking for.

From an interior perspective, I think the 2013 would be the best. It had the dash clock and the electronic mirror which could read temperature and bearing. They removed those features in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

I agree with this. I'm glad I got a 13 as they removed a bunch of things in the 14+. The mirror is nice.
