    Enough for now
worst part was I was at a course and couldn’t get it fixed so I told the dude “hey man not a big deal, don’t worry about insurance.” I didn’t have time to to get it fixed or deal with it. Glad the guy had integrity to tell me.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Cool damage= encounters with nature(rocks, bushes, trees) I needed to have to complete trail/trip.
Not cool= everything else, specially lack of attention to detail ones.

i think it really depends on where you are on the socioeconomic scale. for those of us on the lower end of this scale, things like ketchup stains, french fries along the edge of the seat, empty shell casings on the dash and floor, and cigarette burns on the head liner are cool and expected within a day or two of leaving the dealer.

as for the exterior, within a week or two of ownership dents in the tailgate and bed sides from tossing items such as firewood and empty beer bottles are also cool and expected. if you use bailing wire to secure a part of truck the admiration from your peers goes up.

also, the older the truck the more cool the damage becomes regardless of how caused. a dent in the door on a six month old truck may not be cool, but on a 15 year old truck it is way cool and i would say mandatory.

Call me crazy but this is perhaps the one thing that triggers me more than anything else. Almost makes me want to switch religions if you know what I mean...

    Good thread topic OP.

Cool damage: When I did a little rock climbing and laid a long scratch down my rock slider + wheel.

Not cool: Girlfriend borrowed my truck to pick up family at airport. Tailgate got a fat scratch and dent from their luggage. Instead of lowering the tailgate, they tried to huck it over the tailgate.

Sitting IN my truck at the grocery store a kid (young adult). Looks right at me with an arm full of groceries. Swings his door open and hits my passenger door. Looks at me again and says OOPS!
