There are a lot of reasons for it, which can also include the fact that city miles are harder on engines than highway miles. But I feel a lot better about 100k on an engine that mostly saw 45 mile trips on the freeway than one that has 100k of 3 mile trips to church.

New record. All hilly 55 mph roads, middle of nowhere Ontario, I'm convinced on a good flat highway I could get 30 mpg (this is 23.5)

Good luck. I have 23.5mpg over the life of my truck thus far and I’d say it’s basically not possible to get 30 for a full tank under real-world driving conditions and topography. You’ll be lucky to see a tank in the 25mpg range. Don’t forget to hand or -computer calc distances versus fill-ups. Mine’s been about 1mpg optimistic sometimes.

Fuelly confirmed this tank to be abt 23. I think I can get maybe 27 on the highway. I managed 40 mpg in my dads 1500 diesel lol, but that's a whole different animal.

Nice. My best tank was 26.71 mpg @ 498 miles. I stopped tracking after a year or two, but I’m pretty sure I haven’t done better than that.

My taco on 265/70/17 C load KO2s gets 17-18 city and 20-23.5 hwy. (driving 55-70)

Our 2013 tundra got 13 on a good day city driving. Not sure where you got those numbers from.

I averaged about 22 on my trip from Missouri to Galveston, TX. But I was closer to stock then.

If I made decals that said 15mpg to add to the 4x4 off road bed panel stickers - would you rock it?
