I bought one of those after my expensive one crapped the bed... haven't had any issues with the HF one in the couple years I've had it.

I bought this on Amazon a few years ago.
Its pretty versatile. It has 18,000mah battery, 400A start current and 650A peak current.
It will start my 40 year old Scout without breaking a sweat.IMG_0232.jpg

The one at Costco bailed me out at least twice in dispersed camping. If it goes bad I will test out the return policy. The Noco before it had a charging port made of pot metal. Never again.

I'd look deeper into the Noco boosters before you buy one. The consumer reports testing did not go well. The packaging is nice, but that's about the only thing Noco has going for it.

In a lot of places that have 4 seasons, you can't really use the lithium ion batteries because the ambient goes well outside the storage temperature range. Or at least you have to store the battery pack inside and take it out to the truck every day.

I bought a unit based on supercapacitors. I have boosted two people with it so far, worked great. The advantage is that it charges itself off the dead battery, you don't have to keep the rescue power source charged. And it is no problem to store it in the truck even if it is -35 Celsius.

This is the one I bought, there are others and they are all basically the same.

Took mine apart after it refused to charge. Not impressed at all. I did a better job of soldering as an eight year old. Can still do a better job at sixty with bad eyes and shaky hands.

Yes but can you do better if you were doing 800 of them an hour?

I have the Top Vision jumper pack. Based on the Project Farm Youtube video. I was looking for the Audew one but the price really went up to double. Jumped the work delivery van and a elderly lady's car so far. Need to get another one for the wife's car.

I have the ANKER version with the light, Looks very similar to some of the above models. Jumped my old 4runner 3 times before I realized it was the alternator :) Just looked and mine is from 2015, they have updated it already.

Got a fancy aftermarket battery so hopefully will not need the jumper but its always ready!!
